Order Issues

I did not receive anything after I purchased courses on Courses123? Nothing has been sent to my e-mail?

Please check your spam folders as we have noticed hotmail/outlook filters have been catching them - if it is not in spam check in your account to make sure your email is correct.

How do I access my course?

There are two ways to access your training. After you make a purchase we will send you an email containing a link to each of the courses you have purchased. Once you open the link, you will be prompted to provide your first and last name and then start the course.

Alternatively go to the My Account page and then click on your eLearning Dashboard. On the dashboard you will see all your courses along with a link to start the course.

I have purchased the wrong course

If you'd like to speak about a refund, get in touch, you can send us an email to [email protected] or online, by selecting Support at the top of this website. Please provide your order number as a reference.

Do I have to complete the eLearning course immediately after a purchase?

No. You have 12 months to start your eLearning so you can, for example, buy it on Monday and complete it on Saturday evening.

Do I have to complete my course in one sitting?

No, all courses are bookmarked as you progress through each slide. It is important that you have a secure wired internet connection to ensure the progress will be stored on your profile.

Where is my UKATA certificate?

After you complete UKATA eLearning and pass the test you can download your certificate right from the eLearning dashboard. Just click Certificate in the Completed courses section.

What is Asbestos Awareness UKATA Certified (A) eLearning

Training is mandatory for anyone liable to be exposed to asbestos fibres at work. The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 specifically includes a duty that all employers shall provide Asbestos Awareness Training for all workers who could encounter asbestos during their work; this also applies to workers who are self employed.

Asbestos exposure is the UK's largest occupational killer, with 4000 deaths per year, which is more than road traffic related accidents. This UKATA Certified Asbestos Awareness Category A eLearning training course enables employees to complete the training online at their own pace. Online training can be completed at home, in the workplace or even at remote locations.

On successful completion of the online course, the employee is provided with a nationally recognised Asbestos Awareness Training certificate which is logged centrally by the UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA).

This course can be used as either the main training course or as the refresher.

How many attempts do I have at the end of the test?

You have two attempts at the test. Once you start the test, that is classed as one attempt. You can leave it and access it again one more time to complete.

I cannot move the slides forward or skip a slide?

There is a timer on each slide. Slides cannot be moved forward until the timer has counted down. Videos can be fast forwarded, but again, the forward arrow to progress to the next slide will not be available until the counter has timed down on each slide. You cannot skip any slide in the course.

The videos are slow to load?

Ensure that when you are taking the course, you are connected to a fixed, wired, stable internet connection. If you are using a Wi-fi internet connection, this can cause the videos to be slow to load, the slides not moving forward while trying to complete the course and it can also cause your progress not to be bookmarked if you leave the course. We always recommend that you use a secure wired internet connection when completing the course. Within the UKATA Asbestos course there is a short video hosted on www.vimeo.com. You need to ensure you have access to this site. Maybe you will need to launch our course on another browser because there may be settings on your current browser window that are preventing access to the vimeo site.

If that does not work, unfortunately this is outside of our control and you will need to contact your broadband service provider as they may have blocked access to the vimeo site.

How long does it take to complete?

The course takes two hours to complete. This is the standard set by UKATA for all of their online training.

Can I change my name on the certificate once completed?

No; please ensure that you are completing under the correct name as the certificate cannot be updated once the test is successfully passed and a certificate is generated.

Is it secure to pay on Courses123?

All payments are processed and secured by Stripe. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to a PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, Stripe makes use of the best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security.

All card numbers are encrypted on disk with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Stripe’s internal servers and daemons are able to obtain plaintext card numbers; instead, they can just request that cards be sent to a service provider on a static whitelist. Stripe’s infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in separate hosting infrastructure, and doesn’t share any credentials with Stripe’s primary services (API, website, etc.).

How do I find products?

On the every page you have a search box where you can type and find products by their name or category.

You can view our categories and select between them by hovering your mouse cursor over the eLearning Courses link at the top of the homepage. By selecting a category, you will be brought to the eLearning Store where you can view all the relevant products associated with the chosen category.

How to add a product into the basket?

From the homepage click on eLearning Courses, find the course you wish to buy. You can either hover over the course where you can then select Add to Basket or you can click on the course and select Add to Basket. All selected products will appear in your basket on the top right corner of the screen.

What do I need to do to start the course?

We recommend the following in order to ensure the best experience: Launch the course on a PC, laptop or tablet. The system is fully optimised for mobile view, however; the learner experience may be hampered due to screen resolution. Use our recommended preferred and tested browser Internet Explorer 8 and above he system will work optimally on other browsers such as Firefox, Chrome or Edge on a PC or laptop.

Requirements to start the course:

A PC / Laptop / Tablet.

Wired Internet Connection.

If doing the UKATA course it takes 2 hours to complete.

Can I do it on my phone?

The system is fully optimised for mobile view, however, the learner experience may be hampered due to screen resolution. We recommend using at least a tablet but preferably a laptop or desktop computer.

Do I need an email?

Yes you will need an email to be able to access your learning dashboard and account management.

What kind of device do I need to start the course?

To launch our courses you can use a PC, laptop, or tablet. The courses are available online, so you just need an internet connection and an internet browser. All the course content is delivered within your browser, so if you are viewing this website then you have all you need to complete the course. You don't need to download any other software. To ensure a seamless experience we advise to use a wired internet connection when completing courses as some courses may require a video to be streamed.

What if I forget my password?

You can reset your password by clicking on the Lost your password? link on the login page (Click Here). Please enter your username or email address. Once submitted we will send you an email with a link allowing you to create a new password.

Courses that have been started can't be exchanged or refunded.

What happens if I fail the test?

All courses have a 70% pass rate with exceptions to the following:
UKATA Asbestos Awareness Category A - Pass rate = 80% with 2 attempts at the test.

When failed, the course is no longer accessible and consequently must be repurchased.

How do I access the Certificate?

After completing the course, you are given the option to Download the Certificate. If you completed several courses or purchased for an organisation, you can download certificates within your account by clicking the Download Certificate icon in the Action column.

How can I set up and keep track of multiple users on courses?

When you receive the confirmation email it will contain a link and a code for each course, you can pass the appropriate link to each user. You will receive a report via email every 2 weeks which will let you know which links are used and which are still unused.
