Description
As you return to the workplace, you and your employer must work together to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. Understanding what arrangements your employer might make and what you can do to prevent the spread of the virus can help keep yourself and others safe and healthy.
Just like employers, employees are responsible for protecting themselves and others. They must comply with their organisation’s control measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The course outlines what type of control measures they can expect in the workplace, for example:
- Keeping a safe distance apart
- Regularly cleaning shared spaces and items
- Proper and frequent handwashing
- Good respiratory hygiene
- Face coverings or PPE

The course also describes how employees can better communicate with their managers about workplace processes, and take care of their mental health and wellbeing if they are experiencing concerns or are uncertain about coming back to onsite working. When returning to the workplace, employees might also have questions about Covid-19 vaccine requirements. The course answers some common questions, such as whether or not you have to:
- get the Covid-19 vaccine if your employer asks you to
- disclose your vaccination status to your employer
- follow control measures if you are fully vaccinated
This course provides general information for how everyone in the workplace can mitigate the risks, but organisations will need to translate this information into specific actions, which will depend on the type of organisation, its size, and how it is structured, managed and regulated.
This Return to Work Online Training course takes on average 15 minutes to complete.
